Enzo Bonafé

This spring we will add Enzo Bonafé to our lineup of premium shoemakers. Bonafé is one of Italy's most skilled and acclaimed shoemakers. As with many of the brands we carry Bonafé is a family business where the whole famiglia is involved in the making of the shoes. One thing that sets Enzo Bonafé apart is that they are completely hand welted, a form of artisanship long lost or considered too time consuming for most other makers, even for premium brands like Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling (although all bespoke Gaziano & Girling shoes are hand welted). Enzo Bonafé also does a special kind of welt called “Norvegese”, a specialty in Italy and considered to be a mark of workmanship’s brilliance. All Bonafé shoes are made in Bologna, Italy and production is very small scale. Both ready-to-wear and made-to-order shoes from Bonafé will be available from April 25.

Sozzi Calze socks

The Sozzi brothers started to produce socks for men and women in Milan in 1912. In those days the production was fully handmade. In just a few years the brand became a reference for elegance. Production increased and new technological advancements ensured a larger clientele.  At the end of the 2nd world war the brothers decided to switch production to men's socks only. Today the factory is managed by Franco Sozzi, the founder's son, who continues his father’s and uncle’s tradition of excellence.
